Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) are recognised professionals with the qualifications and skills to provide expert nutrition and dietary advice. APDs have sound university qualifications, undertake ongoing training and comply with the Dietitians Association of Australia’s (DAA) guidelines for best practice. APD is the only national credential recognised by the Australian Government as the quality standard for nutrition and dietetics services in Australia.
Ms Carly Raison (APD)
Carly joined our team in 2022 following the successful completion of her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University.
Dr Richard Sager (DrPH, Nutritionist)
Richard Sager originally a Chef and Patisseir, he completed his Dietetics degree at Newcastle University and Masters of Science degree, investigating health promotion within General Practice.
Richard completed his Doctorate of Public Health (FrPH) and has been working in Private Practice with Darwin Dietitians for the past 15 years. He has held Academic positions with the N.T. Medical Program and Flinders University. He has a particular interest towards: Food Intolerances and promoting capacity around nutrition.
Richard is the Director of Darwin Dietitians. The largest private Dietetic Practice in the Territory. The practice services Aged Care facilities and since 2013 has provided services in 52 of the Northern Territories remote and very remote communities. His current interest is with Nutritional Biochemistry bridging science into daily lifestyle applications.
